January 27, 2019- A multiple vehicle crash occurred in northwest Visalia, on Sunday.  The Tulare County 4-car collision happened on Plaza Drive during the morning hours.  Inclement weather was said to have played a part in the accident.

A Freightliner tanker truck was pulling out of a private driveway onto Plaza, near Ferguson Avenue.  At that time fog was said to have cut visibility down to 150-250 feet.

At the time the big rig was entering Plaza, a Chevy Silverado truck was driving north on the street.  The Chevrolet crashed into the semi, which crushed the cab of the pickup and it came to rest underneath the tank.

Following the Silverado, a Nissan Altima carrying five people smashed into the tanker truck and also stopped underneath.

A GMC Sierra truck hauling a trailer then clipped the back of the tanker, swerved and then collided into a wall.

The driver of the Chevy suffered moderate injuries, including head trauma.  He was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.

Reports claim that all other parties involved were not hurt.
