Fresno Motorcycle Officers Hurt in Truck Collision on Fresno Street

March 20, 2018- Two motorcycle cops were hurt in an accident, in central Fresno, on Tuesday.  The truck collision took place on Fresno Street and Lewis Avenue, at around 2:15 PM.

Officers Brian Chadwick and Stephen Craig were riding their motorcycles north on Fresno Street.  At the intersection of Lewis Avenue, a silver Nissan Titan pickup, driven by Arturo Gutierrez, turned left in front of the motorcyclists.  The bikers did not have time to stop and the vehicles collided.

Chadwick and Craig suffered moderate to major injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.  They are expected to make a full recovery.

Gutierrez was not harmed in the crash.

Issues still remaining to be investigated; determining whether road conditions may have contributed to this accident and any malfunctions of the vehicles.
