August 14, 2017- A big rig crash took place in Bakersfield, on Monday. The Kern County bus accident happened at Panama Road and Union Avenue, just before noon.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred when one vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Panama and Union. This caused a chain-reaction crash, that involved a semi truck, a Golden Empire Transit bus, and two automobiles.
A woman and two children in one of the cars suffered moderate to major injuries. They were taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
Others involved in the incident sustained minor injuries.
