Bicyclist Killed in Northeast Fresno Crash, at Cedar and Nees Avenues

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, a bicycle accident ended in fatality, in northeast Fresno.  The car crash happened at Nees and Cedar avenues, at about 12:00 PM.

Kenneth Gregory Cook, 51 was riding his bike south on Cedar Avenue.  At the intersection of Nees, reports claim that Cook rode his bicycle through a red light at 25 mph.  

He was struck by a white Honda Accord, driven by a woman from Clovis.  The Honda was also occupied by four children at the time of the collision.

The bicyclist was ejected onto the roadway.

Cook was transported to Saint Agnes Medical Center.  He died about 20 minutes later in the hospital.
