July 9, 2017- A head-on SUV accident killed four people; including two children, in Sanger. The Fresno County truck crash happened on Sunday, at about 1:50 AM, on Academy Avenue.
Violet Johnson, 28, was driving a 2002 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle, with her sister Amber Johnson of Auberry, and three kids. The SUV was traveling southbound on Academy Ave., when it drifted into oncoming traffic, south of Shields Avenue.
The Ford collided head-on with a 2010 Toyota pickup truck, driven by Francisco Cordero, of Sanger.
Johnson and her sister were pronounced dead at the crash site. Two of the children; Bradley Earp, 5, and Jacob Earp, 21-months-old, also died at the scene.
The other 5-year-old passenger in the SUV suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.
Cordero also suffered serious injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.
