Tulare County Auto Collision Kills Two on Highway 201 and Road 64

June 15, 2017- A fatal vehicle accident occurred in Tulare County, on Thursday.  The truck collision happened southeast of Kingsburg, on Highway 201, at around 8:00 PM.

Monica Escamilla, of Cutler, was driving a Nissan car north on Road 64, with her 3-year-old daughter, and a 22-year-old male passenger.

At the intersection of State Route 201, the Nissan came to the stop sign and then continued on where the vehicle was struck by a GMC truck.  The truck was driven by Cipriano Munoz, of Reedley.

The GMC broadsided the automobile.  The Nissan then crashed into a utility pole and came to rest in a vineyard.

The passenger in the car died at the scene.  The toddler girl was rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical in Visalia, where she was pronounced dead.

Escamilla suffered major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Munoz was not hurt.
