June 24, 2017- An SUV collision led to the death of one child, just east of Bakersfield, on Saturday. The Kern County rollover vehicle accident took place on Highway 58, during the afternoon hours.
A white SUV, driven by Latonya Stelly, 26, of Merced, was traveling west on State Route 58. The Sport Utility Vehicle was driving at about 70-80 miles per hour.

Near General Beale Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle, hitting the center divide and overturning multiple times.
Three children were ejected from the SUV.
An 8-year-old girl; Baby Lamya Stelly-Whitelaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 7-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old boy, who were thrown from the car, suffered moderate injuries.
Stelly also suffered moderate injuries.
All the victims were taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.
