On Thursday, June 8, 2017, a hit-and-run collision killed one pedestrian, in Visalia. The Tulare County truck accident took place on Walnut Avenue and Garden Street, during the morning hours.
The Visalia Police reported that Mayorga Francisco, 60, was walking in the area of Walnut and Garden. At that time a white Ford Ranger, driven by Secundino Flores, 48, was headed east on Walnut.
The pickup struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene. Hours later Flores turned himself into the police.
Francisco died at the scene of the accident.
While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this.
However, just monetary compensation can help ease the burden of medical bills, final expenses, and help support any dependents left behind by the deceased.
