Fatal Head-on SUV Accident Caused by Drunk Driver, on Avenue 328, in Tulare County

On Monday, May 15, 2017, a deadly drunk driving accident happened just north of Visalia.  The Tulare County head-on SUV collision occurred on Avenue 328, near Highway 63, at 5:38 PM.

A 2004 Lincoln Navigator, driven by Mario Cano, 34, was traveling west on Ave 328.

The Sport Utility Vehicle veered into the eastbound lane, just past Road 132, and crashed head-on into a black 2001 Chevrolet.

The Chevy sedan was driven by Nicolas Pimental Espinoza, 51.

Espinoza died at the scene of the collision.

Santiago Cisneros, and a 13-year-old Cutler girl, who were both in the car, suffered moderate injuries.  The girl was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment.  Cisneros was transported to Kaweah Delta.

Cano also sustained injuries.  He was arrested for felony DUI.
