Victim Identified in Head-on Truck Crash, in Kern County, on Highway 46

On Sunday, March 19, 2017, a head-on vehicle accident killed one in Lost Hills.  The victim has been identified, in the traffic collision that took place on Highway 46, in Kern County.  The incident occurred at about 6:00 in the morning.

Alexei Scissons, 20, of Hanford, was driving eastbound on State Route 46, in a 2001 Chevrolet.  The Chevy also had passengers; 19-year-old Andrew Timm, and 16-year-old Adrian Timm.

Reports claim the car was driving at a high rate of speed.  For an unexplained reason, Scissons turned suddenly and crossed into the westbound lane.

The vehicle smashed into a 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Jose Vasquez, of Holtville.

Scissons died at the scene.

Andrew and Adrian Timm suffered major injuries and were taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.

Vasquez sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment.
