Fresno County Vehicle Ran Stop Sign Causing Accident on Kamm Avenue and Highway 43

March 18, 2017- A vehicle accident took place south of Selma, on Saturday.  The Fresno County traffic collision occurred on State Route 43.

A Lemoore man, 57, was driving a 2001 Nissan westbound on Kamm Avenue.  The driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 43.


At that time a 2014 Hyundai was headed north on SR 43 at about 50 mph.  When the Nissan entered the intersection, the Hyundai did not have time to stop, and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Nissan suffered major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Two adults and two children were in the Hyundai.  They suffered minor to moderate injuries and were also transported to a local hospital.
