Rain Contributes to 4-Car Pileup on Highway 198, in Visalia

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On Friday, January 20, 2017, a multiple car collision took place in Visalia.  The 4-vehicle crash happened on State Route 198, at about 5:00 AM.

A 2007 Pontiac, driven by Oscar Ochoa, was traveling eastbound on Highway 198.  For an unexplained reason, the auto lost control and hit the median, near Chinowth Street.

The car then veered into the westbound lane on the freeway.  Christina Cantu, who was driving her vehicle west on the highway, struck the right side of the Pontiac.

Two other vehicles, which were traveling behind Cantu, were unable to stop in time and also collided.

Ochoa and Cantu were injured and transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.

The drivers in the two other cars where Sandra Montes Cortez, and Peter Acosta.  Neither one of them were harmed, according to reports.

Officials reported that the heavy rain in the area could’ve contributed to the accident.
