Pedestrian Injured in SUV Collision on Union Avenue and Eureka Street, in Bakersfield

On Friday, January 13, 2017, a pedestrian was seriously hurt in an SUV accident, in Bakersfield.  The Kern County vehicle collision occurred at Union Avenue and Eureka Street, at about 9:22 PM.

A pedestrian was crossing the roadway at the 1600 block of Union Avenue.  It is reported that he or she was outside of a crosswalk at the time.


A red Ford Explorer, driven by an adult female, was headed north on Union Ave.  The SUV hit the victim in the middle of the intersection.

The pedestrian suffered severe injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
