Kern County Semi Truck Crash Ends Fatally on Highway 99, South of Bakersfield

December 21, 2016- A big rig collision ended fatally south of Bakersfield, on Wednesday.  The Kern County tanker truck accident happened on Highway 99, at approximately 12:30 AM.

Armando Munguia, 42, who worked for Olden Camp, a local milk company, was driving a milk tanker southbound on the Hwy 99 freeway.

Near Herring Road, the big rig lost control and veered to the right shoulder.  It left the road, crashed into a barbed-wire fence, and then overturned.

Munguia was pronounced dead at the scene.
