Tulare County DUI Collision Ends Fatally for Pedestrian, on Mooney Boulevard, in Visalia

November 19, 2016- A pedestrian accident ended in fatality on Saturday, in Visalia.  The DUI truck collision happened by the Tulare County Courthouse, on Mooney Boulevard, at around 5:30 PM.

A pedestrian, 74-year-old Joel Calderon Estrada, was walking across Mooney, at Burrel Avenue.

At that time Florinda Taylor, 52, was driving a Ford pickup truck down Mooney Blvd.  As Estrada crossed the street, the pickup struck him.

Estrada was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, where he was pronounced dead.

Taylor was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possible manslaughter.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this.
