Fatal Hit-and Run Multiple Vehicle Crash on Myrtle Avenue, in Lamont

September 24, 2016- A deadly semi truck accident took place just outside of Lamont, on Saturday.  The Kern County hit-and-run crash happened on Myrtle Avenue, at around 6:00 PM.

A green Ford pickup truck was driving south Myrtle Avenue.  At the intersection of Di Giorgio Road, the truck did not stop and smashed into a black car.

The automobile, driven by Alejandro Moreno, 28, had been headed west on Di Giorgio when the other vehicle hit it.

The impact of the collision sent the car into oncoming traffic where it crashed into a big rig.

Moreno died at the scene.

The occupants in the pickup truck fled the scene on foot.

Even though the driver may never be identified, the family of the deceased may have a valid uninsured motorist claim under their own insurance policy.
