Tulare County Vehicle Collision Ends Fatally, on Avenue 56, and Highway 43

August 27, 2016- An auto collision ended in fatality, in Tulare County, on Saturday.  The vehicle accident happened on Avenue 56, north of Allensworth, at around 6:05 PM.

Jose Quezada, was driving a 2001 Chevy westbound on Ave 56, near Highway 43.  The Chevrolet failed to yield at the marked stop sign at the intersection of State Route 43.

Quezada’s car crashed into a 2015 Ford.  The impact caused the Ford to overturn down a dirt embankment and then hit a telephone pole.

The 73-year-old driver of the Ford, a man from Bakersfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

His 69-year-old passenger, Donna Cienfuegos, suffered serious injuries.  She was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Two occupants in the Chevy were not wearing seat belts.  They were thrown from the vehicle after the crash, and sustained major injuries.  They were also taken to Kaweah Delta hospital.

A 5-year-old boy and one other person, who were also in the Chevrolet, sustained minor injuries.
