On Saturday, August 13, 2016, a motorcycle accident took place in Porterville. The Tulare County 3-vehicle collision occurred on Plano Street and Worth Avenue, at around 11:49 AM.
A 2007 Chevrolet, driven by Thomas Roberts, 63, of Lindsay, was headed north on Plano Street. The Chevy made a stop on the dirt shoulder of the roadway.
At that time Cornell Guillermo, 60, of Hot Springs was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson northbound on Plano Street.
A 2002 Cadillac, driven by Luis Torres, of Terra Bella, was traveling south on Plano, and came to a stop at the intersection of Worth Avenue.
Roberts failed to see the motorcyclist when he pulled his Chevy back out onto the street. The Harley crashed into the right corner of the Chevrolet, and Guillermo was thrown from the bike.
The victim hit the right front corner of the Cadillac.
Cornell Guillermo suffered severe injuries. He was airlifted to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.
Roberts and Torres were not hurt in the incident.
