Fatal Kern County Head-on Vehicle Accident, on McKee Road, in Bakersfield; Victim Identified

On Saturday, August 20, 2016, a woman was killed in a head-on automobile collision, in southwest Bakersfield.  The victim has been identified, in the Kern County truck accident, that took place on McKee Road, at 5:30 AM.

Amy Ruiz, 40, was driving a red sedan west on McKee Road.  The car veered into the eastbound lanes, and it crashed head-on into a gardening truck, near the intersection of Racine Avenue.

Ruiz suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The gardening truck driver suffered minor injuries.  He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this.
