Child Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Crabtree Avenue, in Porterville

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, a child was seriously hurt in a traffic collision, in Porterville.  The Tulare County pedestrian accident occurred on Crabtree Avenue, at approximately 8:30 PM.

Reports said that a 4-year-old boy darted out in front a car that was driving on Crabtree Avenue, west of Tulsa Road.  The 40-year-old male driver, from Porterville, said he was traveling at about 25 miles per hour when the child ran out into the street.

The vehicle did not have time to stop and it struck the juvenile.

The boy suffered major injuries and was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.
