Blind Pedestrian Killed in Auto Collision on Maple Avenue, in Fresno

Central California Wrongful Death Attorney John Rozier has the following accident report; On Friday, August 26, 2016, a man was hit and killed in a vehicle crash in northeast Fresno.  The car collision occurred on Maple and St. Andrew avenues, at around 5:09 AM.

72-year-old Gurbakhsh Chauhan, who was partially blind, was walking using a cane, heading west on St. Andrew Avenue.  The pedestrian crossed at the intersection of Maple Avenue.


As he was walking in the southbound lane of Maple, he was struck by a silver Mercedes sedan that was headed south.  The auto hit Chauhan with the right front of the Mercedes. 

The victim suffered fatal injuries.  He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
