Big Rig Collision Ends in Double Fatality at Highway 46, West of Wasco

Attorney John Rozier, Car Accident, and Wrongful Death Lawyer, has the following report; On Wednesday, August 10, 2016, a tractor-trailer crash killed two victims, west of Wasco.  The Kern County head-on semi truck collision took place on State Route 46, and Wildwood Road, between 5-6 AM.

A big rig carrying produce was eastbound on Highway 46, when a Toyota minivan, carrying eight people drifted into the lane.  The semi did not have time to stop, and the van and vehicle crashed head-on.

The driver and one passenger in the van were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

At least four more passengers in the Toyota suffered injuries.  Two of the occupants with serious injuries.  They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the big rig was not harmed.

It is reported that only one person in the minivan was wearing a seat belt when the incident happened.
