Truck Collision Kills Two People in Hanford, on 11th and Idaho Avenues

On Friday, June 8, 2016, two people were killed in a car accident in Hanford.  The Kings County vehicle crash happened at 11th and Idaho avenues, at around 4:31 AM.

Hector Gomez, 34, and Maria Gomez, 67, were occupants in a white Toyota Prius that was traveling eastbound on Idaho Avenue.

At the posted stop sign at the intersection of 11th Avenue, the automobile reportedly failed to stop.  The car drove directly into the path of a GMC pickup truck that was headed south on 11th.  The pickup and Toyota collided.

Hector and Maria Gomez both died at the scene of the collision.

The two men in the GMC sustained minor injuries.
