Pedestrian Collision with Kern County Sheriff’s Car, in Lamont, on Main Street

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Sunday, July 24, 2016, a pedestrian accident involving a Kern County Sheriff’s patrol car, happened in Lamont.  The police vehicle collision took place on Main Street, during the evening hours.

The CHP reported that Jose Ramirez Alfonso was walking across Main Street, while under the influence of alcohol.

The sheriff’s deputy in the patrol car tried to swerve out of the way, but the side mirror struck the pedestrian.

Alfonso sustained minor injuries.
