Fresno County Wrongful Death Attorney John Rozier has the following accident report; On Sunday, July 17, 2016, an intentional hit-and-run accident ended in fatality. The pedestrian collision happened near De Wolf and Nebraska Avenues, near Selma, at about 11:30 PM.
An automobile, driven by Saul Mendoza, 31, of Selma, was traveling in the area of Nebraska and De Wolf.
At that time Sigifredo Gomez, of Hanford, and his girlfriend, pulled over and parked their vehicle on the side of the road. As Gomez got out of the car, Mendoza drove by and hit the victim.
Mendoza then fled the scene.
Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities found and arrested Mendoza hours later in Stratford. It is reported that the woman in the victim’s automobile, and Mendoza used to date.
