Fiery DUI Automobile Crash on Morning Drive Kills Two, in Bakersfield

July 8, 2016- A DUI crash ended in fatality for two victims in Bakersfield, on Friday.  The Kern County car collision happened on Morning Driver, near Highway 178, at around 9:00 PM.

Tony Bailey, 22, was driving a white Chevy automobile south on Morning Drive, just south of State Route 178.  The sedan attempted to pass another vehicle that was southbound.


The Chevrolet started to merge back into the southbound lane, lost control, and drove off the embankment.  The automobile then caught fire.

Two passengers were ejected from the Chevy.  They died at the scene of the accident.

Bailey and two other occupants suffered moderate injuries.  They were taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.

The driver was arrested for drunk driving and two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
