On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, a school bus accident took place in West Fresno. The three-vehicle collision happened west of Highway 99, on Hayes Avenue, at about 3:00 PM.
A Central Unified School District bus carrying some students, was driving on Hayes Avenue. At the intersection of Shields Avenue, a silver Chevrolet S10 truck pulled out right in front of the bus.
The bus struck the pickup, and then the truck crashed into a Honda Accord, that was stopped at Shields Ave.
The driver of the bus, and two teenage passengers; ages 15 and 16, sustained minor injuries. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The driver of the Honda suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Saint Agnes Medical Center.
