June 1, 2016- A drunk driving accident led to multiple collisions, on Wednesday, in Hanford. The Kings County car crash took place on East Grangeville Boulevard, at around 7:50 AM.
David Jameson Smith, 39, was driving a 2008 Ford Focus on westbound Grangeville Blvd. As he was driving he rear-ended a Chevy Tahoe waiting to turn onto 10th Avenue.
The Ford then drove southbound on 10th Ave. without pulling over, after the initial crash with the Chevrolet. The impaired driver then hit a red Mitsubishi Galant on 10th, while changingg lanes.
The Mitsubishi struck the median, while Smith continued driving. The Focus then attempted to changes lanes as the automobile approached Florinda Avenue. The vehicle smashed into a silver Dodge Charger, which then struck a silver Chevrolet Tahoe.
Reports on injuries are unknown at this time.
Smith was arrested for driving while under the influence, and hit and run.
