Hit-and-Run Auto Crash Kills Horse and Injures Woman, on Highway 245, in Tulare County

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Friday, June 3, 2016, a horse was killed, and woman injured, in a hit-and-run car collision.  The automobile crash happened south of Woodlake, during the evening hours, on Highway 245.

Michelle Brown was riding her horse along the side of rural State Route 245.  The horse and rider were going across a bridge, when a 2002 Mazda Protege vehicle driving at a high rate of speed.  The Mazda crashed into the back of Brown and her horse.

The car then took off, and a short time later the driver ditched the vehicle and ran away on foot.

The horse died at the scene.

Brown was sustained injuries, including a concussion.  She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
