May 2, 2016- A septic tanker truck collision led to multiple injuries in Madera County, on Monday. The State Route 41 big rig accident happened at approximately 10:00 AM. Three vehicles were involved.
A Tri County Septic tanker truck was traveling on Highway 41. Traffic was stopped around a corner of the highway, near Road 406, and the semi failed to heed the warning signs to slow down.
The rig attepted to miss the stopped traffic by swerving to the right, but it crashed into the rock embankment. That caused the semi to overturn and crash down onto an Isuzu automobile, and a white SUV.
The driver of the tanker truck, and two occupants in the SUV hatchback, suffered major injuries. They were all taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.
Suzanne Fetty, of Ahwahnee, the driver of the Isuzu, and her daughter Brittany Dye, sustained minor injuries.
Others involved in the incident were also injured.
