On Monday, May 16, 2016, a fatal automobile accident took place southwest of Fresno. The car collision happened at the intersection of Valentine and North avenues, at about 7:00 PM.
It is reported that a female driver, 65, of a blue Honda was driving into the intersection of Valentine Avenue and North Avenue. The Honda did not stop at the posted sign and drove into the intersection, where the vehicle was T-boned by a black Mercedes Benz.
The impact of the collision split the Honda in two.
The woman died at the scene of the incident.
The driver of the Mercedes sustained minor injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.
Authorities said that the driver may have been blinded by the setting sun.
