On Friday, April 15, 2016, a 12 year old bike rider was struck by a vehicle, in Bakersfield. The Kern County car crash happened during the morning hours, near Standard Middle School.
The boy, who was a student at the middle school, was riding his bicycle, near the intersection of Ferguson and N. Chester avenues. A Kia automobile hit the bicyclist, but stopped and helped the boy before leaving the scene of the crash.

The victim in the incident suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities are looking for the suspect from the crash.
