Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit by Truck, on Santa Fe Street, in Visalia

On Monday, April 4, 2016, a bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision with a pickup truck.  The Tulare County vehicle accident happened in Visalia, at around 9:00 AM.

Robert Seymour, 92, of Visalia, was riding his bicycle on Santa Fe Street, when he was struck by a 1997 Dodge pickup, just north of Monte Vista Avenue.

The Dodge truck, which was pulling a trailer, was driven by John Havekost, 91, of Visalia.

Seymour, the bike rider, suffered fatal injuries.  He was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Havekost was not hurt in the incident.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this. However, just monetary compensation can help ease the burden of medical bills, final expenses, and help support any dependents left behind by the deceased.
