January 28, 2016- A fog-related semi and transport van accident led to the death of one victim, on Thursday. The big rig collision happened west of Tulare, at approximately 9:30 AM, on Avenue 216.
A tanker truck carrying milk was eastbound on Paige Avenue, while a medical transport van was headed west on Paige Ave/Avenue 216.
The medical van tried to turn left onto Road 44, and collided with the dairy rig.
There were four people in the van. A female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three other occupants suffered minor-moderate injuries. They were transported to Tulare Regional Medical Center.
Visibility at the time of the crash was low, because of heavy fog.
