On Wednesday February 10, 2016, a car collision ended in fatality for one man, in Fresno County. The pickup truck crash occurred near San Joaquin, west of Fresno, at about 4:35 PM.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Martin Rodriguez, of Pixley, was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang. He was headed westbound on Manning Avenue and ran a posted stop sign at the intersection of McMullin Grade.
The Mustang was broadsided by a 1997 Chevy S10 truck, which had been driving north on McMullin Grade.
After colliding with the Chevrolet, the Ford spun out and smashed into a 2015 Dodge Ram.
Martinez died at the scene of the incident.
Luis Martinez Duran, of Fresno, who was the driver of the Chevy truck, sustained minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center.
Andrew Garcia, 27, of Kerman, and Jaime Ruiz, 31, of Fresno, who were in the Dodge Ram were unharmed.
