Eight Injured After SUV Accident in Central Fresno, on Hughes and Weber Avenues

On Monday, February 15, 2016, an SUV crash led to eight people, including children, being hurt, in Central Fresno.  The vehicle collision happened at approximately 11:30 PM.

Authorities said that David Juan Moralez Jr. was driving south on Hughes Avenue, in a white Ford Explorer.  Moralez ran a red light, at the intersection of Weber Avenue and Hughes Avenue.

The Sport Utility Vehicle crashed into a black Chevy Tahoe SUV.

A ten year old boy, who was one of five kids in the Ford, suffered major injuries.  He was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital, where he is now listed as being in critical condition.

Other injuries range from minor to moderate.

The police reported that Moralez was driving on a suspended license.  And that the 10 year old child was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
