On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, a car accident led to a high-pressure gas leak, in Hanford. The Kings County automobile collision happened at about 7:43 AM, at Beulah Street, and East Grangeville Boulevard.
The police reported that a 17 year old boy was driving a red 2015 Honda Civic north on Beulah Street. At the intersection of Grangeville Boulevard, the Honda failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and turned left.

The Honda crashed into a black 2015 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 19 year old female. The Toyota then smashed into a bank of gas meters at the side of the roadway, which caused a gas leak.
Children and adults at a nearby daycare had to be evacuated until the gas leak was contained.
There are no reports on an injuries at this time.
