Wrong-way Driver Causes Vehicle Collision on Highway 99, in Goshen

January 14, 2016- A head-on vehicle collision occurred in Goshen, on Thursday, leading to serious injuries.  The Tulare County drunk driving accident took place on Highway 99, at about 3:20 AM.

A 2001 Toyota automobile, driven by Alfredo Santiago, 25, was traveling northbound, on the southbound Hwy 99 freeway.  Near the Betty Drive exit, in Goshen, the Toyota crashed head-on into another car, driven by Eric Mendibles, 49, of Clovis.

Santiago, who is from Fresno, sustained major injuries, including a broken femur.  He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Mendibles, also suffered severe injuries, and was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Santiago was arrested while in the hospital, for driving while under the influence.
