January 7, 2016- A bicyclist was seriously hurt after being hit by an SUV, in Visalia, on Thursday.  The Tulare County vehicle accident took plact at County Center Drive and Houston Avenue, at about 10:40 AM.

Freddie Olandria, 69, was riding his bike northbound on County Center Dr. at Houston Avenue.  The biker was hit by a blue Toyota Highlander, driven by Bertha Sanchez, 59 years old.

Sanchez had been headed south on County Center, and attempted to turn east onto Houston Ave. when the SUV struck Olandria.  The cyclist was ejected from his bike upon impact.

Olandria suffered serious injuries.  He was taken, by ambulance, to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.  At this time he is still in critical condition.
