December 22, 2015- A big rig accident caused by wet weather shut down traffic in Madera, on Tuesday. The tractor-trailer crash happened on Highway 99, at approximately 6:00 AM.
A semi truck was southbound on the Highway 99 freeway, when rainy roads caused it to loose control, near Cleveland Avenue. The big rig crashed into the center concrete median, with the cab going over the divide, and into the northbound lanes.

The semi ended up blocking one lane in the north lanes and two in the southbound direction of the highway. Cars were backed up for miles, and it took crews four hours to clear the wreckage.
No injuries were reported.
