Victim Identified in Motorcycle Crash near Lemoore, on Highway 198

On Monday, October 5, 2015, a collision with a semi truck killed a motorcycle rider, west of Lemoore.  The big rig crash occurred on Highway 198, in Kings County, near the Naval Air Station, at about 1:20 PM.  The motorcyclist has been identified.

Jessie Lee Gallagher, 20, of Idaho, was driving a 2000 Yamaha bike, traveling east on Highway 198.  At that time a Peterbuilt tractor-trailer was entering the highway from Jameson Avenue.

Gallagher crashed into the back of the big rig as it drove onto the freeway.  The biker was thrown from his motorcycle.

Authorities pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the collision.
