On Tuesday, February 3, 2015, dense morning fog led to twenty separate automobile accidents on Highway 198. The car collisions happened in Kings County and started at about 7:45 AM, near 14th Avenue.
The vehicle crashes involved a total of forty-two autos, on eastbound Highway 198, between Hanford and Lemoore. At least five people were injured in the incidents, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The CHP reported that the fog at the time of the accidents left drivers with visibility at a distance of 600 to 1,200 feet, in front of their vehicles.
Those injured in the wrecks were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
