Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On January 14, 2015, two cars and a semi truck collided, because of low visibility, just west of Visalia. The three-vehicle pileup happened at Highway 198 and Road 64, on Wednesday, at about 9:25 AM.
A semi truck, driven by Steve Frisby, of Visalia, was turning from Road 64, onto Highway 198. The weather was foggy, and Frisby failed to see a red Lincoln MKZ in the slow lane and pulled out into the intersection, right in front of it.
The Lincoln, which was driven by Claudia De Esquivel, 34, of Visalia, attempted to stop to avoid the big rig, but the car crashed into the rear of the truck.
Cheriee Brown was driving a grey 2008 Acura directly behind the Lincoln and also collided with the other two vehicles. The Acura struck the back of the MKZ and pinned it under the tractor-trailer.
Brown and De Esquivel suffered moderate injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.
Frisby was not hurt in the crash.
The CHP said that the fog played a major factor in the collision.
The scene of the accident should be independently inspected as soon as possible. Please call Mr. Rozier at 559-713-0159, or contact online at www.nelsonrozier.com. He specializes in fog-related automobile collisions.
