September 1, 2014- Two men were killed after driver tried to flee from Tulare County Sheriff’s deputy on Monday.  The car accident happened in Tulare, at about 6:55 PM.

The 34 year old driver was traveling in a 1996 Cadillac near Pratt Road and Avenue 216, trying to evade an officer.  The automobile swerved out of control, rolled over, and hit a power pole.

Two passengers in the vehicle; a 32 year old man, and Angel Mata, also 32 years old, were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver and one passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  Angel Mata sustained moderate injuries.  He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, for treatment.
