March 6, 2014- On Thursday afternoon a collision sends an SUV flying into a ditch in Fresno, California. The crash occurred at about 3:40 PM.
A woman was driving a white SUV on Willow Avenue, headed north on the street. Officers reported that she ran a red light at the intersection of Willow and Herndon Avenue, and smashed into a truck that was moving westbound.
The impact of the crash sent the Sport Utility Vehicle spinning out of control, coming to rest finally in a ditch that runs along the side of the road on Willow, north of Herndon. The SUV ended up on its side in the ditch.
The SUV’s driver was taken to the hospital. She was conscious at the time of the accident. Police do not know at this time whether she suffered any injuries.
