January 10, 2012- An accident on Highway 99, in Bakersfield, causes a metal pipe to go through car’s windshield, on Tuesday morning.
Marcus Kasprzyk, of Turlock, was driving on Highway 99 at about 65 mph. He was just south of Olive Drive, almost to his exit, when a pipe in the back of a black Dodge truck dislodged, and speared the windshield of his car.
The CHP reported that the pipe would’ve impaled Kasprzyk, had it not hit the steering wheel of his vehicle.
Kasprzyk suffered minor injuries from the crash and was taken to Mercy Hospital.
