On January 24 Ernest Hernandez Renaldi was killed when he rolled the Cadillac Escalade he was driving and was ejected from the vehicle in south Tulare. The accident occurred when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve. The SUV went off the road and turned five times, resting on its roof. Renaldi was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Four other people in the vehicle were injured. The injured include Sergio Lara, Andrew Torres, Angel Garibhy, and a 17-year-old boy. Lara’s and Torres’s injuries appear to have been minor. However, Garibhy was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center with head injuries and the minor had a punctured lung and a broken neck. Reportedly Renaldi was not wearing a seat belt, had he been it could have saved his life. Speed may have been a factor in the crash.
