Fiery Rollover Auto Collision, in Visalia, on Midvalley Avenue, near Mooney Blvd

May 15, 2019- A fiery automobile crash occurred in south Visalia, on Wednesday.  The Tulare County rollover car accident happened on Midvalley Avenue, at around 8:55 PM.

June 5 Highway 63 wrongful death pedestrian accident

On June 5 a man died after being hit by a car on Highway 63 near Avenue 336 near Visalia. According to reports Jose Luis Garcia was southbound on Highway 63 when a man crossed in front of his vehicle. Apparently the man was attempting to cross the highway in the rain just north of Avenue 336. Garcia was unable to stop his ca in time. The pedestrian was died at the scene of the accident.

March 7 fatal accident in Tulare County

On March 7 a woman from Goshen was killed in a fatal accident on Highway 63 between Avenues 336 and 328 in Tulare County. According to reports the woman was driving north on Highway 63 when her Honda Civic drifted into the southbound lane. Her Honda then hit an Infinity G20 in a head-on collision. The driver of the Infinity suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. The driver of the Honda, however, died in the accident.

May 3 Visalia bicycle accident on Highway 63

On May 3 Timothy Rizzo from Visalia was seriously injured when he was hit from behind by a car while riding his bicycle on Highway 63. The accident happened just north of Avenue 328. Reportedly the driver of the Honda Accord drifted onto the shoulder of the road and hit Rizzo. Rizzo was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with injuries to his head.

Visalia Bicyclist suffers major injuries

March 30 pedestrian accident in Visalia on Highway 63

On March 30 Rafael Rivera was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 6 in Visalia. Reportedly Rivera, a transient, was hit by a Suburban while he was crossing Highway 63 between Sweet and Prospect Streets with his shopping cart.  Palemon Viera was the driver of the Suburban abd is being charged with felony hit and run charges after fleeing the scene of the accident. Rivera was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment and then to Community Regional Medical Center. His injuries are described as life-threatening. /

Orosi pedestrian killed

Highway 63 in Cutler and Orosi considered dangerous for pedestrians

In the last 10 years nine pedestrians have died after being hit on a stretch of Highway 63 that runs through Cutler and Orosi, the latest occurring on October 30. Forty-one pedestrians have been hit and injured during that same stretch of time. Many people blame poor lighting conditions and excess vehicle speeds for the relatively high number of injuries and fatalities. October 30, Orosi pedestrian accident on Highway 63

On October 30 an 83-year-old Orosi man was hit by a pickup truck and killed. Marcos De La Torre was crossing Highway 63 when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado took evasive action to avoid hitting De La Torre but failed. De La Torre was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and poor lighting was most likely a factor in this accident. Pedestrian struck and killed in Orosi Tulare County

 October 30, 2009--An 83 year old pedestrian was struck and killed last Friday in the Tulare County town of Orosi.  Marcos De La Torre was walking across Highway 63 wearing dark clothing when he was hit by a 1998 Chevy Silverado.  The driver took some evasive action and could not avoid impact.  Poor lighting conditions may have been a factor.  Alcohol was not a factor in this collisionThe CHP investigation continues as to the cause of this accident.  The pedestrian was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  The driver who struck him was identified as Gilberto Martinez.
