Turlock Automobile Collision on Geer Road Ends in Fatality

November 6, 2014- A car accident killed one elderly man after he was hit on Thursday.  The pedestrian collision took place in Turlock, at about 1 PM.A 66 year old man was walking west across Geer Road, outside of a crosswalk.  A silver Toyota, driven by an 83 year old woman, attempted to turn right onto Geer, from Minnesota Avenue.  As the Toyota was turning at a low rate of speed, the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.

The man suffered serious head trauma, and was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Motorcycle Collision on Ninth Street in Turlock Ends Fatally

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Attorney John Rozier has the following report; On Wednesday, October 22, 2014, a motorcycle accident ends in fatality.  The vehicle collision took place in Turlock, at about 4:45 PM.Randell Beede, 51 years old, was traveling northbound on his motorcycle, on Ninth Street.  A 25 year old driver of a Toyota Camry was driving south on Ninth Street and attempted to make a left turn onto Rockwood Avenue. The Camry pulled out right in front of the bike.  The motorcyclist collided with the Toyota and Beede was thrown from his vehicle.  It is reported that the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.Beede was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Crash on Highway 99 Involving Truck Pulling a Horse Trailer

January 26, 2012- An accident on Highway 99 in Turlock, north of Fresno, blocked traffic for about an hour, on Thursday. The crash happened at about 6:00 PM.The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway, near the Main Street on-ramp. Two vehicles, one pulling a horse trailer, crashed into each other. After the impact of the crash, the vehicles caught on fire.North and southbound lanes were closed until the wreckage could be cleared.No information on any injuries. Turlock Woman Seriously Injured While Crossing the Road

January 10, 2012- A woman was struck by a car, in Turlock, north of Fresno, on Tuesday. The accident occurred at about 8:00 AM.The pedestrian was crossing the street in the crosswalk, on English Avenue. The vehicle hit her at a speed of about 20 mph.The woman suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was taken to the hospital for

June 27 Turlock accident kills one and injures four

On June 27 a four-year-old boy was killed and four other people were injured in an accident at Bradbury and South Walnut Roads in Turlock. Reportedly Melissa Moody was eastbound on Bradbury Road in her Mini Cooper when she hit a vehicle driven by Daniel Valle waiting to turn left. Moody's vehicle then spun into oncoming traffic and was broadsided by a vehicle driven by Alfredo Correa. Moody's four-year-old was killed as a result of the accident. Moody's 2-year-old suffered major injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. Melissa Moody was airlifted to Memorial Medical center with major injuries. Correa and a passenger in his vehicle, Abel Cortez, were both taken to Doctors hospital with minor injuries. Valle escaped the accident uninjured.

May 7 motorcycle accident on Highway 99 in Turlock

 On May 7 a motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Highway 99 just south of Turlock. Reportedly the motorcycle hit a car and possible a truck as well. The southbound lanes of Highway 99 were closed for a period of time while a helicopter landed to take the motorcyclist to the hospital. No further details are available at this time.

November 9 Highway 99 accident in Turlock

On November 9 Harmanpreet Kaur was killed in an accident on Highway 99 in Turlock. Reportedly Kaur was driving north in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 going about 70 to 80 mph when her vehicle hit a pickup truck head-on. The truck was forced into a ditch as a result of the accident. Jeffrey Wilson, the driver of the truck, was taken to Memorial Hospital with major injuries. The passenger in his vehicle was taken to Doctors Medical Center with minor injuries. Kaur was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

September 28 pedestrian accident in Turlock

On September 28 a teenage boy was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Turlock in Stanislaus County. According to reports the boy was hit by a tan pickup that left after hitting the boy. While the boy seemed to only have suffered minor injuries he was taken via air to a local hospital as an extra precaution. It turns out he suffered minor to moderate injuries. No further information is available at this time.

June 6 accident involving three big rigs on Highway 99 results in death

On July 6 a man was killed in and accident between three big rigs on  near Turlock on Highway 99 in Stanislaus County.  According to reports, the first big rig driver, Marcus Task, had stopped on the shoulder of the road. Task was attempting to reenter the roadway when the second big rig driver, Jaime Henriquez, saw Task’s truck and slowed to let him in. unfortunately, the third big rig driver did not see that Henriquez had slowed down. He then subsequently hit the back of Henriquez’s trailer. This caused the third cab to crush about 15 feet inward and erupt into flames. The flames then spread to the trailer of Henriquez’s truck. The third big rig driver was killed in the accident. His name has not been released until he can be identified via dental records.

February 23 wrongful death in Turlock pedestrian accident

On February 23 Charles Arnold was killed in a wrongful death pedestrian accident on Olive Avenue in Turlock. Arnold was hit by a Honda Pilot driven by Paulette Field while crossing North Olive Avenue at Wayside Drive. Reportedly he was in the crosswalk near the sidewalk. Field saw him and braked but was unable to stop in time. The passenger side front bumper of her car hit Arnold. He was taken to Emanuel Medical Center and later pronounced dead. Field claims that she was unable to see Arnold due to the dark and rainy conditions. Officials claim that Field was driving between 35 and 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and will most likely be cited for driving too quickly for the conditions. The intersection is said to be well lit and does not have a history of problems. /

December 25 fatal rollover near Turlock

On December 25 a man was killed in an accident on South Central Avenue near West Main Street near Turlock. Reportedly, the man was driving his Honda Accord when he went off the side of the road, hit a utility pole, continued to travel, and rolled several times. The driver was wearing a seat belt, but sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. An investigation is being conducted to determine if alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the accident. /

December 17 fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 99 near Turlock

On December 17 a man was killed when he was hit by a truck on Highway 99 near Turlock. A truck driver called and reported that he had hit a man just after 1 am on December 17. Reportedly the man walked into the southbound lane, raised his arms, and was hit. Authorities are calling it an apparent suicide. /
