On November 1 a man was seriously injured after the vehicle he was a passenger in crashed into a canal in Fresno. According to reports the man was a passenger in an SUV driven by a man who was a wanted parolee. The SUV was southbound on Fresno Street when a police officer performed a routine traffic stop. The driver then ran a red light at the intersection of Fresno and Shields Avenue, hit a car, and went into the canal. Three of the passengers escaped from the vehicle unharmed. However, one man needed to be rescued by a diving team and the jaws of life. The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle is awaiting charges.

November 1 Porterville Accident on Road 252 and Avenue 136
On Sunday, November 1 the passenger in a pickup truck was killed while traveling southbound on Road 252 south of Avenue 136 in Porterville. The truck hit a dirt embankment and rolled over. The 23-year-old passenger was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck. She was taken to Sierra View District Hospital for severe head trauma and was there pronounced dead. November 1, 2009--A fatal accident occurred last Sunday night near Porterville, California. A 23 year old woman was killed when she was ejected from a Ford F-150 pickup traveling southbound on Road 252, south of Avenue 136. The driver made a left turn onto the shoulder of the road and struck the embankment and rolled over. The chp continues to investigate this accident. November 1, fatal bicycle accident in Fresno near Ashlan and Marks
On the evening of November 1 a 10-year-old Fresno boy was hit while riding his bicycle near the intersection of Ashlan and Marks in Fresno. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Officials have stated that the boy may have been riding against a red light.
